Laurence1On 25th October I ran the Snowdonia Marathon in aid of the Forces Childrenís Trust. After following a long training routine over the summer the day finally arrived and I was really looking forward to the run.  The Snowdonia Marathon has the reputation of being one of Britainís most scenic but also toughest marathons.

Please support Mark Squires, as he attempts to climb Kilimanjaro in aid of the Forces Children's Trust.

"I will be trekking/climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2015 with a friend of mine, Dave and when we were looking for a challenge, having taken part in numerous fun runs and insane events we wanted something that would really push us to the limit and I think we have found just that in climbing the highest stand alone mountain in the world, Mt Kilimanjaro which stands at 5895 Metres. The trek/climb will present many challenges such as altitude sickness, walking up to 17 hours a day and sleeping in subzero temperatures and of course the biggest challenge will be sharing a tent night after night."

Sounds pretty tough! Find out more on his fundraising page here.
