Chris Middleton is on a mission to run the 2009 London Flora Marathon, completing a 10km and 3 half marathons as training. What is more, he is raising money for the Forces Children's Trust with every step along the way... 

"I'm Chris Middleton 29 and an ex Soldier, by the time I have completed my 10k run followed by 3 half marathons then to finish with the 2009 Flora London Marathon, it will have been 10 years since I left the Army and 10 years since I last ran the Flora London Marathon, I am blessed with having a Son and Wife, had I stayed in the Army that may not have been the case. So this is why I have chosen this charity - for those Children whose Mums and Dads wont be here this Chrismas and next Birthday and their first day of school. Whether you believe the recent conflicts are right or wrong please donate to help the children they did not chose to have a parent who was going to go to war."
