Congratulations to Nick Cairns and Simon Bunn who completed the Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon on the 6th and 7th of June, 2009.

 

This year set in the  Scottish Highlands, the LAMM is the chosen activity for around 1,000 competitors, who compete in teams of two, starting from Morvich in Kintail. The total area of the event is approximately 400 square kilometres and includes 14 Munros (and there is a checkpoint on the summit of one of them) and The Falls of Glomach, which at 370 ft are among the tallest in Britain.

 

Simon and Nick completed the "Score" course in 39th place out of 89 competitors which is a fine achievement. As impressive is that they also raised around £500 for the Forces Children's Trust.
