Scared of heights so jumped out of a plane!!
I was petrified of heights for the last 10yrs, so much so I wouldn't even go on a plane, then, mid 2009 decided to stop being a girl about it and get over my fear.
I decided to get into a plane, loved that then had a bet that I'd skydive withing the year. Completely forgot about my bet until 12 weeks ago when the time was coming to either jumpn out or.... pay up.
I contacted the skydiving team at Headcorn in Kent who were amazingly helpful and made the day even more enjoyable.
Throughout the day the weather was too bad to jump then as the day came near to the end, the clouds left and the wind dropped. IT WAS TIME!!!! We donned the sunning jump suit complete with a very moody burberry scarf. Got in the plane and then the realisation kicked in.
Going up in the plane there was a lot of nerves flosting about, then as we reached 12,000 feet they slid the door of the plane open and my heart literally skipped a beat. we edged near the door and within a flash we were free falling at 120 miles an hour with the biggest rush of my life!
On top of that the parachute opened which was nice!
I managed to raise £725.00 for the FCT who I have no doubt will put this money to great use as always.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed.
